A COVENTRY car park has been named the best one of the year by Britain’s self-appointed dullest man, Kevin Beresford.
Kirby Corner car park at the University of Warwick has been given Kevin’s seal of approval, being praised for ditching pillars and embracing wide parking bays.
It has 1300 spaces over five floors and solar panels generate 10 per cent of its energy, helping to charge a row of electric car charging points.
Outside there are designated areas for car-sharers surrounded by greenery and hedgerows.
Kevin Beresford said: “From the very first viewing of the Kirby Corner car park, the initial impression was, what a sleek building it is, with its clean-looking lines.
“The building gets better as you enter. A very up-to-date construction at the zenith of car park design.”
