COVENTRY care home staff are walking 100 miles to raise cash for the residents.
The challenge was set up by staff and residents at MHA Allesley Hall – the group will walk around the grounds of Allesley Park.
On August, 9 at 10am the group will be walking to raise cash for the residents amenities.
Nick Close, activity coordinator said: “The challenge is a great way for all of us to get involved and support the home.
“We have had some family members of residents who have also declared an interest in taking part.
“The residents are very keen to get started and it should be a great challenge.
“We don’t have a target and have already received some cash donations.
“The aim is to raise as much funds as possible and to get the community involved.
“We don’t have any plans on how to use the funds, but once we know the amount we will look to arranging something for residents.”
