STAFF at a Coventry children’s home are celebrating after being rated as ‘good’ by Ofsted just a year after being told it ‘required improvement’.
The home in Tile Hill was rated as good in every area during its two-day inspection, during which inspectors looked at every aspect of its work before speaking to the young people living there.
Inspectors praised the relationships between children and staff and the progress children and young people make, with one being able to return home and another moving to live with foster carers.
Staff were also congratulated on keeping in touch with the young people to offer continuity and support.
Coventry City Council’s cabinet member for children and young people, Coun Patricia Seaman, said: “This is a fantastic achievement and reflects a lot of hard work and determination from the team and everyone involved with the home.”
