Philip said: “This anniversary is a tribute to the dedication and passion of all members of the choir and staff from the school’s music department who played important roles in establishing the choir all those years ago.

“I’m delighted that more than a hundred former pupils are set to attend the weekend’s celebration and I am very honoured to have the opportunity to bring to life some of the repertoire that the choir has performed over the years, and to share our love of music with the extended Blue Coat choir family.”

During the weekend, the choir will be accompanied by Paul Leddington Wright, who has had a long and close relationship with Coventry Cathedral and BBC’s ‘Songs of Praise’.
