Coventry Editorial 22nd Feb, 2024   0

COVENTRY City will show their support for the LGBTQ+ community at tonight’s (Friday) home match against Preston North End.

The Sky Blues will wear special t-shirts during the warm-up while coaching and non-playing staff and mascot Sky Blue Sam will also wear badges to display their support.

The gesture comes as part of LGBTQ+ History Month.

Friday’s matchday programme will feature information about ‘Proud Sky Blues’, the club’s recently established Supporter Group for LGBTQ+ fans.

The supporters group logo will also be shown on the big screen throughout the night and there will be special content on the scoreboard and tannoy throughout the matchday.

The EFL and Puma have teamed up to unveil its first Rainbow match ball which will be used by all 72 Clubs across Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two matches until the end of February.
