COVENTRY firms and researchers can now apply for a share of up to £7.5million of new investment to drive innovation and business growth.
Under the Immersive and Creative Technologies Launchpad programme, those in the city will now be able to apply for grants for innovation projects.
The projects will need to focus on developing and adapting new technologies across industries including healthcare, education, future mobility, manufacturing, retail and tourism.
The competition opened on Monday, with firms able to sign up for a competition briefing event on Wednesday, November 1 to find out more.
Grant funding available starts from £25,000, with up to £1million for projects that provide exceptional impact to SMEs.
The projects must focus on immersive and creative industries leading to increased investment in research and innovation.
The projects will contribute to developing and applying technologies such as digital media, mixed media, augmented reality, virtual reality, virtual production, design processes, game engines and 3D environments.
