A GRASSROOTS football club in Coventry is to hold a raffle and auction as part of a Fundraising Race Night at St Finbarrs Club, on April 19.

SoccerRockz FC, which welcomes boys and girls, initially started with only two teams, but over the last 12 months has grown to now feature seven different teams.

As a grassroots club it is heavily reliant on voluntary contributions by parents and from cash raised from such fundraising events.

The funds raised from Friday night will pay for necessary equipment and kit that would enable all the children at the club to play the beautiful game properly and proudly.

Ryan O’Sullivan, the club secretary and manager of two Soccer Rockz teams, has asked if businesses could kindly donate a prize that could be raffled or auctioned off.

This would enable the teams to raise as much cash on the night as possible to benefit the children.

Ryan added the kindness of any people or businesses who were able to support the raffle and auction would be shared on the club’s social media platforms to show how their gesture would be helping children in the local community.

Anyone who can help with raffle prizes or auction items or wanting to find out more about the event or supporting it should email [email protected] for more information.
