A TEAM of 15 from Gi Group, successfully completed the three Peaks Challenge for the second consecutive year, raising funds for Dementia UK and Well Child.

This year’s team, which included participants from Gi Group’s Little Park Street branch in Coventry, tripled in size from the previous year and raised an impressive £6,800 for the chosen charities.

Building on the success of last year’s hike, the team decided to return to the mountains with even greater enthusiasm and participation.

The three Peaks Challenge involves a 30-mile hike across the three highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales.

Despite facing severe weather conditions on their ascent of Ben Nevis, the team persevered and completed the challenge with determination and team spirit.

Andrew Fletcher, operations manager for the South at Gi Group, said: “I am so proud of the team for once again taking on this challenge to support some fantastic causes.

“After the success of the hike last year, we were eager to return to the mountains and it’s great to see more people from Gi Group being involved this time around.”

The charity provides practical and emotional support, helping children leave hospitals sooner and live healthier lives at home. Last year, Well Child supported 2,700 families through its programmes.

Last year, the company raised £20,000 for 14 different charities.
