Coventry Halo Centre receives Christmas cash boost

Coventry Editorial 23rd Dec, 2023   0

COVENTRY’S Halo Centre has received a much-needed cash boost to help them support people in need this Christmas.

Coventry IT firm PS4B has donated £500 worth of food and goods to the Halo Centre in Binley, which distributes food and vital goods to 15 foodbanks across the city.

Richard, Kerry and George Hooper, who run PS4B, dropped off items including pasta, tuna, coffee and biscuits.

The Halo Centre supports around 500 struggling city families each week with food parcels.

The centre’s partnership and events manager Gemma Caffrey, said: “We’re extremely grateful for all the support we get from businesses and individuals who see the important work we are doing to help local people when they need it most.

“Due to the cost of living crisis, we’ve seen a big rise in demand for support from foodbanks but, also, a fall in the donations so every bit of help we receive is vitally important.”
