COVENTRY Building Society Arena held the Care Sector’s Got Talent and saw eight finalists from across the UK showcase their talents.
The event is organised by Championing Social Care and is aimed at bringing the care sector together through talents.
This year there was a record breaking number of entries including a dementia choir to Bollywood dancers.
Angela Boxall, chair of Care England was the host, and the judges included Bhavna Keane-Rao, Cheryl Jones, Michael Butler, and Sanjay Dhrona.
The winner of this years care Sector’s Got Talent was Molly Blackburn, a care worker who stole the spotlight with ‘Defying Gravity’ fro Wicked.
As well as the main prize, the audience voted for an act to receive a fund prize – The Sam Beckman Choir and New Centre Stage tied votes and each were given £500 cash prize.
Chair of Care Sector’s Got Talent, Aneurin Brown, said: “Care Sector’s Got Talent was a resounding success this year.
“The event truly celebrates the exceptional individuals within the care sector, bringing the sector together, and we are thrilled that it achieved just that.”
