A SUPPORT worker at Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital in Coventry has scooped a national award for the work he does to bring ‘laughter and compassion’ to children and young people struggling with their mental health.
Magnus Ezuma was recognised for his outstanding at Cygnet’s annual nursing awards last week at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.
He won Support Worker of the Year and was recognised alongsideother nurses from across Cygnet health and social care services.
Magnus said: “Awards like this show that the work you are doing, it is being seen and appreciated.
“This means a lot to me.”
The team at Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital said: “Magnus has demonstrated a high level of care towards all of the young people he supports as well as all staff.”
Karen Johnson, senior vice-president and chief clinical officer, behavioural health at Cygnet’s parent company Universal Health Services, Inc announced the finalists and winners of the awards, for which there were 529 nominations across nine awards categories.
