A COVENTRY mum was so inspired by her twin children’s graduation from university she decided to return to education- and has followed in their footsteps by donning the cap and gown herself.
Manvinder Dukhi watched on with pride as her children Baljinder and Harjinder graduated from Coventry University back in 2020.
The 56-year-old had been wanting to return to education for years and had her interest spiked when she went to an open day with her children.
She took a CU Coventry course, which allows people to fit studying into their lives without compromising their other commitments.
And earlier this month roles were reversed with Baljinder and Harjinder watching on as their mum received her degree in management and leadership at Coventry Cathedral.
Manvinder said: “It was a big learning curve.
“There were lots of ups and downs but I made lots of lovely friends along the journey.
“It was hard work but certainly worthwhile and has opened a lot more doors for me and I’m hoping those doors will continue to open.”
