COVENTRY Police is looking to crackdown on issues including anti-social behaviour in Hillfields to make it a better place to live and work.
The force has partnered with Citizen Housing and Coventry City Council as part of the #OurHillfields partnership to tackle the things that matter most to the community.
A postcard has been created to be given out by police during their daily work in Hillfields.
Posters and leaflets will appear in the main community spaces.
Each of these gives several options for reporting issues.
Lamppost posters promoting Crimestoppers have also been created for people who want to report issues anonymously.
Reports have already started coming in that are being used to inform police.
There is also a regular ‘PACT’ (police and communities together) meeting for people to speak about any issues they have in person.
Sgt Kim Keating from the Hillfields neighbourhood policing team said: “#OurHillfields is about making sure that all those people working in Hillfields are working together and coordinating our efforts in the area.
“Often the issues they deal with are just one part of a wider problem that can be tackled much more effectively if we coordinate our resources.
“Whether it’s a report of noise nuisance, problems with vandalism or rubbish or people committing crime or behaving in an anti-social way, the #OurHillfields team can look into these issues and work with you on a solution.”
