COVENTRY Extended Learning Centre (CELC) have been on a journey to improvement following an Ofsted visit in June 2022.
The Coventry schools serves 120 pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools in Coventry.
It will be joining the Solihull Alternative provision Multi Academy Trust (SAPMAT).
In the last two years lots of students have returned to mainstream or specialist schools and over 90 per cent of students who completed their GCSEs last year continued into education, employment and training post 16.
Solihull Alternative Provision Multi Academy Trust CEO, Stephen Steinhaus said: “We are so excited to have the CELC joining us from September.
“We have the potential to significantly change the perception of what alternative provision looks like in Coventry and Solihull.
“This is a result of our common goals, shared vision and ethos, and our joint commitment to curriculum intervention, along with our positive outcomes for our students.”
The school will change its name to Coventry Alternative Provision Academy in September.
