A SENIOR solicitor from the West Midlands has been celebrated for her outstanding contributions to professional services at a national awards ceremony.

Jas Thiara, head of the criminal and motoring offences department at Alsters Kelley, was awarded the Excellence in Professional Services category at The Ladies First Professional Development Awards, held at the Dallas Burston Polo Club in Southam.

With over 20 years of experience as a Higher Courts Advocate, Jas Thiara has represented clients in a myriad of legal matters, including breaches of food safety regulations, professional conduct issues, motoring offences, and criminal defence.

Her expertise and dedication have earned her a top ranking as a motoring lawyer on the ‘’ website.

Jas has significant experience in representing vulnerable clients, including those with mental health issues and learning difficulties.

Her dedication to community service is evident through her role as a Trustee for Bedworth Rugby and Nuneaton Citizen Advice Bureau (BRANCAB).

Jas said: “I was overwhelmed and proud of winning the award.

“I go the extra mile for our clients and can be relentless in achieving the right outcomes for them.

“Receiving the award has made me feel proud and confident in my work.

“Being recognised publicly has inspired me to continue doing what I am doing and driven me to achieve even more both personally and professionally.”

The ceremony was attended by 400 guests and hosted by Kirsty Leahy, Karen Jones, and Roberto.

Other notable winners included BBC radio presenter Trish Adudu from Coventry, honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Media, Louise Adkins from Rugby, named Business Woman of the Year, and Jackie Allan from Leamington, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award in Fashion and Retail.
