PUPILS from Coundon Primary School had their personal road safety messages put up on display in Coventry City Council House reception.
The day was arranged by the Twinkle Toes Road Safety group as part of National Road Safety Week.
The children set their messages in very creative ways using paper plates and a variety of colours to highlight their concerns around speeding, inconsiderate driving, and ensuring that roads are a safe space for all.
Glen Hartwell, who organised the competition from 159 RLC Army Reserve Regiment in Canley, said he was very proud of the input and involvement from the students and believed it showed the awareness young people have of keeping everyone safe on the roads.
Coundon Primary School Deputy Head, Alex Scott added: “The pupils are passionate about sharing their messages, not just around our school but in the wider community.
“The competition has allowed them an opportunity to share this, and it has been an amazing experience for the winners to see their plates in the Council House, where important decisions for the city are made.”
