Coventry Editorial 24th Feb, 2024   0

THE UNIVERSITY of Warwick campus is hosting free festivals for inquisitive minds this spring and summer.

Science and the arts are taking the leading roles with activities inspired by scientific discovery as part of the Resonate Festival of Science and Technology.

Kicking off on Thursday, February 29, with events also on March, 7 and March, 10, visitors will have the chance to conduct live experiments and explore natural history.

Adult sessions include an evening of weather in Leamington Spa and a behind-the-scenes scientist showcase.

The Resonate Festival of Science and Technology day out includes interactive demonstrations, as well as talks and workshops on March, 10.

Dr Kerry Baker, Associate Director at Warwick Institute of Engagement, said: “We are looking forward to hosting two brand-new festivals this year, with more opportunities than ever before for people across Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond to be entertained and fascinated by an incredible range of events and activities.

“With science and the arts each getting their own festival, the range of topics we are able to share is even bigger than before.

“Our aim is to create memorable and inspiring days out for people of all ages and give our communities the chance to get curious about their favourite topics, as well as new ones.”

The Resonate Festival of Arts and Culture will bring creativity from across the world with theatre performances and creative workshops throughout June.
