SEVERN Trent is finding it ‘challenging’ to identify the source of a potential water leak on Clifford Bridge Road, near the entrance to University Hospital.
The firm said investigation work is ongoing, with teams visiting the site on several occasions and have carried out leak detection investigations, including camera surveys and taking samples to be tested.
Severn Trent said due to the busy nature of the junction and proximity to the hospital, it is working to find the exact location of the leak before starting an excavation to minimise disruption and keep traffic flowing.
It added it would be working as quickly as possible to get a repair in place and everything back to normal.
A Severn Trent spokesperson said: “We have teams looking at this as an absolute priority and we fully appreciate it is taking time to find the cause as we need to be certain if the water is coming from our network, and where we might need to excavate to minimise any disruption.
“We’d like to thank everyone for their continued patience and apologise for any disruption while we work on this.”
