FIVE arrests were made in Nuneaton and Bedworth last week after a string of thefts and burglaries.
Cheryl Gray, 44 from Nuneaton, was arrested after an incident where a woman was allegedly concealing items within a store on Newtown Road in Bedworth and attempting to leave without paying.
Officers detained her on her way out of the store and over £50 worth of goods and a knife were reportedly found in her handbag.
Gray has been charged with theft from a shop and possession of a knife and will appear in Warwickshire Magistrates Court on October 20.
An 18-year-old and a 17-year-old from Nuneaton were arrested on suspicion of theft after allegedly stealing a bicycle valued at around £1,600.
This was after they were reportedly captured on camera leaving a property on Brights Road with the bicycle after it had been reported stolen.
Both are currently on police bail pending further investigation.
A 19-year-old from Leicester and a 17-year-old from Derby have also been arrested on suspicion of burglary following reports of a group of people in masks allegedly attempting to break into properties on Wheat Street in Nuneaton.
A shed was found that had been allegedly tampered with, and the rear window of the house reportedly had cracks.
The pair were arrested after they were reportedly identified through CCTV.
The 19-year-old was also arrested under suspicion of perverting the course of justice after allegedly giving incorrect information to the arresting officers about their identity.
They are both on bail pending further investigation.
