Free festive fun coming to Coventry shopping centre

Coventry Editorial 30th Nov, 2023   0

COVENTRY’S Lower Precinct Shopping Centre will be hosting free festive events over the holiday season to give families struggling with the cost of living some much-needed Christmas cheer.

There will be a free crafting workshop where people can create their own enchanting lanterns.

This will be followed by a Lantern Parade from the events area around the shopping centre from 2.45pm tomorrow (December 2), led by mascot Lenny the Lion.

Then between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, December 9, people will be able to see a giant bauble snow globe installed in the centre where they can step inside to snap a very special Christmas photo.

Then on Saturday, December 16, Father Christmas himself will make a fly-in visit from the North Pole to the shopping centre to host a fun-filled day with his elves.

Santa will tell some magical stories from the North Pole and then invite his Elves to conduct Elf Training.

Those who come will be taught the Elf Wave and the Reindeer Wave followed by a question and answer session with Santa.

Lower Precinct Centre Manager, Nicola Cormell said: “We are so excited to offer these free events for families in our local community.

“It is so important to us to create lasting memories and give families something to smile about over this special time of year.”
