Housing development got approval for 290 new homes in Keresley

A HOUSING development company, Vistry Group, has received approval to build 290 new homes in Keresley, north of Coventry.

This development is part of a significant investment that includes over £7.8million earmarked for enhancing local services.

Vistry acquired two plots of land in Keresley in September 2023, with plans to build a total of 550 family homes across the sites.

The approval covers the first phase, which will deliver 290 mixed-tenure homes, enriching the area with a variety of high-quality family residences.

Adam Sharpe, managing director for Vistry South West Midlands, said: “We are excited to have secured planning permission for this phase of the development in Keresley, which promises to help meet the housing demand in the area.

“There is a significant need for new, high-quality housing across multiple tenures in this area and this is a major step forward in meeting that demand.

“We know that buyers from all walks of life will relish the opportunity to live in modern family homes and to be part of a vibrant and well-connected new community.”

Beyond addressing housing needs, Vistry’s development includes a substantial commitment to the local community.

The company will invest £7,841,746 in local services, benefiting education, healthcare, highways, biodiversity offsetting measures, and parks.

At least 25 per cent of the new homes will be affordable, ensuring a diverse and inclusive community.

Construction on the 290 homes is expected to commence later this summer, marking a significant step in Vistry’s mission to provide sustainable and affordable housing solutions.

This development is anticipated to not only offer much-needed housing but also to enhance the overall infrastructure and services in Keresley.
