Investigation launched after man hit with machete in Coventry

AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a man suffered serious injuries after being hit with a machete on Bushberry Avenue, Coventry on Wednesday (November 22).

Police were called to a disorder involving a group of people in which a 27-year-old man was hit with the weapon, suffering injuries to his arms and hands.

The attackers fled the scene before officers arrived and the man was taken to hospital.

Officers are continuing their enquiries today and patrols are being stepped up in Canley and Tile Hill.

Police believe this was an isolated incident.
