A MAN has been charged with the murder of a woman in Coventry.
Police found the body of a woman – strongly believed to be his 50-year-old partner Pauline Sweeney – at an address on Long Close Avenue on Wednesday evening (March 20).
She was discovered with serious stab wounds and died a short time later.
William Brady was arrested and taken into custody for questioning, and the 57-year-old has since been charged with murder.
He appeared before Coventry Magistrates Court today (March 22) and was remanded to further appear before Warwick Crown Court on Monday (March 25).
Although formal identification is still to be carried out, police strongly believe the woman is Pauline and her family has been informed and is being supported.
