A LOCAL housebuilder has installed defibrillators across Warwickshire developments, including Nuneaton and Rugby.
David Wilson Homes East Midlands has installed the life saving machines to enhance the safety of local people in its communities.
The developments with new defibrillators installed are Callendar Farm in Nuneaton, and Ashlawn Gardens and The Moorings in Rugby.
Installed on the outside of the homebuilder’s marketing suites, members of public can easily access them in an emergency – there are over 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests every year.
John Reddington, managing director at David Wilson Homes, said: “Defibrillators are such important assets for local communities, and we’re pleased to contribute to Warwickshire’s access to life-saving equipment.
“In crucial minutes during a cardiac arrest, it’s vital that a defibrillator can be accessed quickly, and we are delighted to have installed the equipment across our sites in the county to ensure that it’s ready for use, if needed.”
In the event of an emergency, Community Public Access Defibrillators can be accessed if someone calls the emergency services who can then provide a code.
