Over £300,000 of cars and parts recovered from Coventry chop shop

Coventry Editorial 7th Nov, 2023   0

COVENTRY officers have recovered over £300,000 worth of cars and parts from a suspected chop shop.

Police were called on Sunday evening after a tracker was activated in a stolen vehicle, and upon arrival they found a garage with the stolen car inside.

Attempts had been made to strip the vehicle tracker which had subsequently set it off, alerting the owner, and following a search of the whole site five more stolen vehicles and several stolen parts were found, including three Range Rovers.

Officers are now in the process of identifying the vehicles to return them to their owners.

No arrests were made, but officers are continuing enquiries to identify potential suspects.
