Post-Match road closure in Coventry on Saturday

Coventry Editorial 3rd Apr, 2024   0

FANS gearing up for Saturday’s match between Sky Blues and The Whites at Coventry Building Society Arena are advised that there is a post-match road closure.

With a crowd of around 30,000 expected to fill the stands, the A444 Jimmy Hill Way will undergo a temporary closure post-match to facilitate the safe exit from the venue.

The road closure will be implemented shortly after the final whistle, around 4:30pm, to ensure the smooth and secure exit of pedestrian traffic from the arena.

The closure will not affect pre-match travel arrangements.

This precautionary measure is in place to uphold the safety of all attendees – once deemed safe to do so, the road closure will be lifted.

For those parked in Car Park C, exit will be allowed but vehicles will only be allowed to turn right towards Coventry City Centre.

Those intending to head towards the M6 should follow the designated diversion route.

When the closure is lifted, priority will be given to letting cars leave from Car Park A and D to minimise disruption.

The road closure spans from A444 Holbrook Way to M6 Junction 3, with exit permitted only from Car Park C and Arena Shopping Park southbound towards Coventry City Centre.

Fans are advised to plan their post-match travel accordingly and adhere to instructions from event staff.
