'Serious' Nuneaton and Bedworth drug dealer jailed

Coventry Editorial 12th Sep, 2023   0

A ‘SERIOUS drug dealer’ who was a key supplier in Nuneaton and Bedworth has been jailed for six years.

Manjinder Pama was convicted at Warwick Crown Court yesterday (Monday, September 11).

When officers raided a house in Bedworth in January, they seized a mobile phone with messages asking for drugs and traced the number to Pama.

He was arrested as he left a house in Wolverhampton, and a search of the property led to the seizure of a suitcase containing cocaine.

His car was also searched and £11,000 in cash was seized.

The 43-year-old, of Shetland Drive, Nuneaton was jailed after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession of criminal property.

Det Con Dan Lydster from Nuneaton Proactive CID said: “Pama was one of the key suppliers of drugs in the area.

“This sentencing is terrible news for drug users in Nuneaton but an excellent outcome for the rest of the community.

“There is no place for drug dealers in our county. The likes of Pama inflict nothing but misery and suffering on people, their families, and the wider community, all for their own selfish greed.

“We will continue to relentlessly target drugs dealers and we welcome the assistance of the public in doing so.”
