'So proud of you!' - Friends vying to raise £10k for young woman caring for her autistic sister

FRIENDS of Coventry young woman are raising money after she tragically lost both parents over five years and is now the care-giver to her younger sister.

Georgia lost her father, Neil, in January, just five years after losing her mom – she now cares for her 18-year-old sister, Sofia, who has autism.

Sofia is a talented musician who studies music at college, due to her autism she can not use public transport and her dad used to take her to college, now leaving her with few options to commute.

The price of getting a taxi every day totals to around £10,000 a year which the girls can not afford.

Georgia’s friends have set up a GoFundMe page to take some financial strain off the sisters and allow Sofia to carry on studying music.

Georgia has made a TikTok to share her story and ask for advice for any long-term solutions and avenues for support, as well as contacting social services, the Council and her local MP.

Posting on the page, her friends wrote: “We love you Georgia, and we’re so proud of you.”
