Sports Fest is returning to Coventry

COVENTRY’S sports fest event will be returning with six days of free activities this summer.

It will be held on Broadgate and will run from August, 6 – 11 from 10am to 4pm every day.

Coventry city council is delivering the event in partnership with CV Life – local sports clubs will be at the event as well as sport National Governing Bodies.

Cricket, laser tag, archery, augmented reality games, dance, and table tennis are all on the schedule for the week plus much more.

Coun Kamran Caan, cabinet member for public health and sport, said: “Sports Fest is a major highlight of Coventry’s summer events calendar and is loved by residents across the city.

“The event is completely free to attend and covers many different sports and activities suitable for all ages and skill levels.

“Previous Sports Fest events have attracted thousands of residents and visitors.

Make sure you add the dates to your diary and join us in the city centre.”

Steve Wiles, chief operations officer at CV Life, said: “Local clubs and organisations will offer a wide range of engaging activities suitable for all ages and abilities.

“We hope to see a great turnout for a week of free outdoor fun and to get many people active this summer holiday.”
