COVENTRIANS will be having one of the best days of their lives next May as Bryan Adams will transport the Coventry Building Society Arena back to the Summer of 69.

The ‘Everything I Do’ singer will be hitting the stage on Friday, May 17 in his first performance in the city since 2005 as part of his ‘So Happy It Hurts’ tour.

The Canadian legend will treat fans to some of the hits from his decades-long career, which has spanned 40 years and 17 studio albums, including four new ones in 2022 such as the Grammy-nominated ‘So Happy It Hurts’ record.

His last performance at the CBS Arena in 2005 was the first concert the venue ever hosted.

Paul Michael, Managing Director at Coventry Building Society Arena, said: “Bryan Adams is renowned for his showstopping live performances and is the perfect star to mark the return of concerts to our Indoor Arena.

“It’s set to be a sell-out crowd and we’re looking forward to welcoming thousands of people to see a true legend of rock music perform here in Coventry.”

(Everything I Do) I Do it For You featured in the film Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and, in 1991, broke records by enjoying the longest ever unbroken run at the top of the UK singles charts – it was there for 16 consecutive weeks.
