THREE people have been arrested after a forensic investigator was attacked while carrying out enquiries into a burglary in Coventry.
The West Midlands Police forensics team member attended an address on Swan Lane yesterday (October 17) after an earlier break-in.
She was then confronted by a group of masked men who attempted to grab some equipment at around 4.30pm.
She resisted their attempts but was repeatedly hit across the head before the group fled empty-handed, although she was not seriously injured.
Two men, aged 18 and 22, and a 17-year-old boy were quickly identified as suspects and arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery, assault and burglary.
They remain in custody for questioning.
