COVENTRY properties have been shut down after anti-social behaviour and drug dealing.
Three addresses in the city have been closed down after officers from West Midlands Police have been working after complaints of anti-social behaviour, drug dealing and cuckooing at addresses in Heera Close, Stoney Stanton Road and Hampton Road.
All three addresses have been officially closed after magistrates in Coventry granted orders against them.
This means that anyone not named in the order can be arrested if they are found inside the properties.
The first closure order, against the Heera Close property, was secured back in March after reports of ASB and drug-dealing, as well as concerns the occupant was being exploited by criminals.
On May 30, this was extended for a further three months after officers found people inside breaching the order.
In April, officers carried out a warrant at the Stoney Stanton Road address, recovering stolen goods from inside.
This property has now been totally closed down, with no one allowed inside at all for three months after a closure order was granted on May, 23.
The Hampton Road property was closed after reports of drug offences, ASB and cuckooing happening there.
On May, 23, magistrates in Coventry granted a three-month closure, banning anyone who isn’t the official resident from being there.
