ONE OF the UK’s exam board, OCR, is moving its headquarters to Coventry in a carbon zero-ready office.

The relocation to IM Properties’ Bourn building marks a step towards reducting OCR’s environmental footprint and provides an environment for sustainable growth and operational efficiency.

OCR, the exam board of Cambridge University Press and Assessment currently employs around 230 people in Coventry.

Jill Duffy, chief executive of OCR, said: “Coventry has been an integral part of OCR’s success from the very beginning and our new office is a commitment to a long and sustainable future here.

“Our priority is delivering for schools and students around the country, and these offices give us the modern environment in which to do that as efficiently as possible, while also significantly reducing our carbon footprint and enabling modern hybrid working.”

The new office is 100 per cent powered by green energy tariff, with additional renewable energy supplied by photovoltaic panels on the parking area.

After two years of planning, the move is now complete.
