AN AUTHOR who has overcome his stress, anxiety and depression caused from being registered blind will be looking to spread peace and love when he talks about his new fictional book in Coventry this Saturday.

Vendon Wright will be talking about his new dystopian drama ‘2020- The Forgotten Leap Year’ between 11am and midday at Coventry Central Library.

The Rugby author, who is also the only registered blind master of Olympic taekwondo in England, will also be speaking about disability awareness.

He wrote the book, the second in the trilogy, using a touch-type computer.

The book follows a group of teenagers with super abilities who are trying to save the world from an evil villain and restore peace and love to the world.

It will be on sale at the event and Vendon will also be signing copies and giving away gifts.

He said: “My mindset is about spreading positive morals we should instil into our lives so we can all see the brighter side of life.

“Because I’m registered blind I go through emotions of stress, anxiety and depression every day of my life but I’ve learned to overcome these emotions and now want to spread this attitude to other people.”
