STOLEN vehicles have been seized and high-priority offenders arrested by Coventry’s police neighbourhood teams during recent patrols.
The North West Coventry team spotted a car which had no tax and seized it.
The team also seized an Audi which had no valid tax or insurance, with the driver also reported for having no licence.
That was shortly followed by another car, a BMW, whose driver was found to have no tax or insurance.
Teams in Hillfields and St Michael’s have been continuing their work against anti-social behaviour and shop thefts in the area.
A known offender was spotted in the area and arrested by the team after they were spotted taking goods from a shop in the city centre.
Elsewhere, officers from the South Coventry team carried out a pair of warrants in the city, arresting two people on suspicion of cultivating cannabis as part of an ongoing investigation.
A police spokesperson said: “We are continuing to take action against issues which are important to Coventry residents.
“All information we receive forms part of our wider plan for patrols and operations. The more intelligence we receive from the public, the more we will be able to do.”
