A COVENTRY school has been given a £1,500 donation from Amazon which will go towards the school’s partner school in Uganda.

Finham Park School, part of Finham Park Multi Academy Trust, provides an inclusive and safe environment for both students and teachers

The school offers immersive learning experiences including a partnership with Viva College School in Uganda.

Pupils from Finham Park School visit Uganda to provide support and raise cash for the primary schools.

The donation from Amazon’s receive centre will go towards providing valuable resources and renovation media materials to some of the most deprived rural and fishing communities in Uganda.

Chris Bishop, headteacher from Finham Park School said: “On behalf of all our pupils and staff, we would like to say a big thank you to the Amazon team. Donations like this will help transform the communities our school supports in Uganda.”

Amazon Coventry general manager, Gareth Davies, added: “We’re passionate about supporting the education and development of children, and we’re pleased to support Finham Park School’s renovation project.”
