A PROLIFIC shoplifter from Coventry has been jailed for six weeks and banned from the city centre.
Basharat Hussain has also been given a two year Criminal Behaviour Order due to a spree of anti-social behaviour within the city centre.
The Criminal Behaviour order bans him from entering Coventry city centre unless for an arranged appointment with the police or probation.
He is also banned from entering any shop in the city centre, with the terms of the order making it clear he will be arrested if he breaches it.
Hussain, 51, was arrested on October 7, on suspicion of shoplifting and later pleaded guilty.
The order was issued and Hussain was jailed at Coventry Magistrates Court on October 8.
Hussain is the latest in a series of prolific offenders we have served with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
