COVENTRY Sports Foundation is set to play host to entertaining activities for children during the upcoming half term break.
The sports and leisure provider will run sports, games and much more between Monday, May 29 and Friday, June 2.
The foundation’s Alan Higgs Centre in Allard Way, Centre AT7 in Bell Green Road and the Xcel Leisure Centre in Mitchell Avenue will all be staging events – including trampolining, gymnastics, athletics, archery, arts and crafts, basketball, talent shows and more.
There will also be special sessions at each centre such as a performing arts camp at the Xcel Leisure Centre, a musical theatre camp at the Alan Higgs Centre and a Beauty and the Beast Theme Day at Centre AT7.
Wendy Jackson, community development manager at Coventry Sports Foundation, said: “The foundation’s activities are the perfect way for children to keep themselves active during the break from school and be entertained at the same time.
“We have so many different activities and events taking place there is something to suit all tastes, but parents are advised to book places quickly to avoid disappointment.”
The events are aimed at five to 11-year-olds and will run between 9am and 3pm throughout the school holiday.
Early bird (8.30am to 9am) and extra time club (3pm to 4pm) options are also available.
Themed activities and camps will be running on specific days and cost £14 per child.
All children need to be suitably dressed and must remove all jewellery – please note jeans will not be permitted for trampolining.
The foundation recommends plenty of drinks and a packed lunch for all day sessions.
