COVENTRY is the fourth most expensive place to be a taxi driver in the UK, according to a new report.
The study by taxi insurance expert Zego looked into several administration costs required when setting up as a taxi driver in each UK city.
Factors include the average cost of taxi insurance and the price of a DBS certificate.
Other expenses include the average cost of a taxi licensing fee for three years and the average price of petrol per litre.
Coventry comes in fourth place with an average set-up cost of £1711.16.
London topped the list, followed by Wakefield and Bradford.
Edinburgh, Nottingham, Luton, Southampton, Manchester and Wigan make up the rest of the top ten.
