COVENTRIANS will be able to have their say on how floors one and two of the new City Centre Cultural Gateway will be repurposed.
A consultation has now been confirmed where people can give their views on how to utilise the lower floors to promote and enhance the city’s cultural reputation.
Any plans would need to align with Coventry Transport Museum’s offsite car collection, which is relocating into the gateway building.
Stakeholders at CV Life and the city council will take part in the consultation this month.
The public consultation is currently being planned, with no start date set so far.
Work will see the building repurposed into a new cultural home for nationally recognised collections, with space also included for new research facilities.
The first phase of the work will see part of the building transformed to become a ‘collections centre of national significance’.
Coventry University will take over floors five and six to create a cultural hub which will include teaching areas, research space and attractions.
