Coventry toddlers sing Christmas carols for city's elderly

THE GAP between generations has been bridged this Christmas, as a group of toddlers visited a retirement home to sing festive tunes.

The youngsters, from Tiny Teddies Day Nursery in Radford, filled the air of Sovereign House in Daimler Green with music as they treated residents to a mini carol concert last Friday (December 16).

Singing popular songs including ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘We wish you a merry Christmas’ the tots also used the performance as a last minute rehearsal for their annual Christmas concert which was held later that afternoon for family members.

Collette O’Connor, nursery manager said: “The children are always really excited for Christmas; they have been practising songs every day and been making decorations, cards and calendars to take home with them.

“They even made their own cards for the residents of the care home.

“We come to Sovereign house every year and the residents really enjoy our visit.”
