THREE men were arrested in Leamington after police found this samurai sword in their car.
An Audi A3 was stopped around 3am on Thursday, January 19 after police received reports of a pedestrian having been hit by a car on the High Street at around 1.40am.
A Japanese-style ceremonial sword was found inside the vehicle and a 23-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both from Coventry, were arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
A 34-year-old man, also from Coventry, was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and suspicion of possessing cannabis.
A man in his 40s was taken to Warwick Hospital for treatment to what are thought to be minor injuries to his head, leg and arm.
It is not clear yet if the incidents are linked but officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed a collision on High Street.
