A WOMAN was forced into a car against her will in Coventry this morning (Friday, February 12).

A blue Audi A4 mounted the kerb on Foleshill Road at 11.20am and four men got out of the vehicle.

Two women were attacked and one of them was made to get into the car, before it was driven away, with all four men also inside.

It is being treated as a potential abduction.

The woman who remained at the scene following the incident is being supported and spoken to by officers, as they try to understand the full circumstances leading up to the abduction.

A major inquiry is currently underway, being led by specialist investigators from West Midlands Police Force CID.

Chief Inspector Ed Foster, who is currently managing the police operation, said: “We are following up several lines of enquiry and will use every police tactic available to us to track this vehicle and find the person who was taken as soon as possible.

“Ensuring the woman’s safety is our absolute priority. If anyone thinks they can assist us with this investigation then I would urge them to get in touch as soon as possible.”

Anyone with any information should call police on 101 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
