Emily Fish 7th Jul, 2017

An 18-year-old woman was arrested yesterday (Thursday) on suspicion of terrorism offences.

The woman was arrested from an address in Coventry on suspicion of inviting support for a proscribed organisation and distributing terrorist material.

She is being questioned by West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit at a police station in the West Midlands.

The arrest was pre-planned and intelligence-led – there was no risk to the public.

An address in Coventry is subject of an ongoing search.
