Coventry Editorial 6th Sep, 2022   0

THE NEWLY restored Drapers Hall has announced its Autumn programme with eight shows scheduled ahead of its one-year celebration.

Drapers Hall opened as a music and education venue last November following a £5million restoration project by Historic Coventry Trust alongside Coventry City Council.

The new season of shows starts on Wednesday, September 7 at 1pm where the award-winning Da-Hee Kim will be performing as part of the popular lunchtime concert series Mostly Piano.

Peter Broderick will perform his multi-instrumental set from 7.30pm on Sunday, September 25 just before heading to Londons Southbank Centre, then the following Thursday Jeneba Kanneh-Mason will be showcasing her piano playing talents at the same time in the grand ballroom.

Then on November 10 Drapers Hall will be celebrating its first birthday in style, with Kansas Smitty’s house band performing live jazz from 7pm.

Drapers Hall general manager and programmer Hannah Pierce said it was ‘fantastic’ live music was returning following a short summer break with eight shows along with the free annual Heritage Open Day event on September 18.

“This set of shows is high in quality and we think has something restorative for audiences – maybe just what we need as we ease into the winter ahead.”
