FARGO Village will stage free ‘mindfulness’ workshops this weekend with a wellbeing expert.
Suhaiyla Shakuwra – who is also a jewellery designer – will host the wellness workshops in the cultural village on Far Gosford Street, Coventry city centre, tomorrow (Saturday, April 27).
Fargo Village, the city’s ‘creative quarter’, includes arts events, bars and shops.
Suhaiyla will offer free sessions where visitors can sample cleansing teas, crystal meditation and bespoke jewellery making.
Promoters say: “Suhaiyla produces handcrafted pieces of wearable art; working specifically with the vibrational properties of crystals and natural metals, creating jewellery which promotes positive healing for her clients.
“The elaborate adornment and practises of the ancestors have been an inspiration to Suhaiyla alongside astrology and mysticism. Her Work is rooted in Afro-futurism.”
Electronics giant Samsung is involved in the event and is promoting its new Galaxy S10 model.
Workshops will run throughout the day at Unit 5 in FarGo village.
