COVENTRY’S Gilbert Richards Centre is holding an open day on Tuesday, September 19 with several activities on offer for the city’s elderly.
The open day will take place between 10am and 2pm and will be run by Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire.
Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire run groups for older people each week at the centre including sewing, knitting, crochet and spinning.
The more creative Coventrians will be able to try their hand at art activities such as watercolours acrylics and oils, millinery, floristry and upholstery along with woodwork and pottery.
And there is a weekly Friday men’s friendship group to get to know new people and have a chat.
Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire’s Community Development Officer Mick Spicer said: “The Gilbert Richards Centre in Coventry is a great place to new skills or improve old ones.”
