COVENTRY will be dancing away this summer as the Godiva Festival returns to its traditional slot next year.

Organisers have confirmed the popular festival will take place at the city’s War Memorial Park between June 30 and July 2, 2023.

The festival has featured big-name acts such as Tom Grennan, Craig David, The Libertines and Bananarama in the past, and organisers have said further details on the 2023 line-up will be announced in the new year.

As well as top musical talent, the event will feature plenty of family-friendly attractions.

The Godiva Festival has traditionally been a summer event, but for the last two years has been held in September.

Coventry City Council deputy leader and cabinet member for events, Coun Abdul Salam Khan, said: “This festival keeps growing every year and that’s a testament to the love and support that Coventrians have for it.

“It remains a crucial part of our city’s cultural calendar and of course brings lots of economic benefits to Coventry in terms of tourism.

“As always, we remain committed to ensuring that our festival continues to highlight the immensely creative and diverse talent our city has.

“I’m looking forward to another fantastic festival that will once again have something for everyone.”
