A COVENTRY running group which combines fitness and community service has helped homelessness charity Emmaus Coventry and Warwickshire transform its garden.
Nine volunteers ran more than 4km from the city centre to the Emmaus accommodation in Binley where they cleared overgrown weeds and cut back bushes before running back to their starting point.
Liz Pharoah, from GoodGym Coventry, said: “We’re always on the lookout for local community projects to lend a hand to and so were pleased to find a way to help our local homelessness charity.”
Geraldine Tsakirakis, the charity’s community director, said: “We really appreciate the work the GoodGym volunteers did in such a short space of time.”
