COVENTRY’S LGBTQ+ radio station GlitterBeam has been nominated for the award of small brand or organisation of the year at the Rainbow Honours 2023.

The award ceremony sponsored by The Bank of London will take place at the Natural History Museum in the capital on May 17.

The event, hosted by Gok Wan and Anna Richardson, is designed to highlight the people and organisations dedicated to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and will showcase milestones in areas including politics, the media, grassroots activism and business.

Eugenio Ceriello and Michael Walton-Dalzell, from GlitterBeam, said: “It’s incredible to see that many people have voted for our station.

“The work that every day all of our presenters and newsreaders do is incredible and we are very proud to see this recognised.

“This is the second time we are shortlisted for this award – the first time, in 2019, we experienced an amazing event full of inspiring people.

“We are really looking forward to this experience and we are very grateful to whoever has voted for GlitterBeam.”

Other nominees for the category are Bookish Type, Gaingels, House of Pride, Lightning Travel Recruitment, Moonlight Experiences, Queer Coffee Company, Queer Emporium, Rainbow Lottery and Two Dads UK.
